Penny is a pencil.
She is a happy pencil.
She is happy because she is a yellow pencil.
Penny is a happy new yellow pencil with a red eraser.
She has red letters on her side.
She is in a new tin box.
The other pencils in the box are not happy.
They are sad.
They want Penny to be sad.
Penny wants to be happy, so she thinks about happy things.
One day Mary’s mom buys the tin box of new pencils.
Mary’s mom gives the box of pencils to Mary.
Mary is going to school today.
Mary is in first grade.
Mary’s teacher tells Mary to write her A B C’s.
Mary opens her new box of pencils.
She takes Penny the pencil out of the box.
Mary writes her A B C’s.
After Mary writes her A B C’s, she looks at the letters.
Mary is happy with her new pencil.
Mary writes her name on Penny the pencil.
Penny is happy.
In first grade, Mary writes many letters and numbers.
Mary uses all the pencils in the tin box.
Penny is her favorite pencil.
Mary uses Penny for her special writing.
She writes her first story with Penny.
She adds her first numbers with Penny.
One day she makes a birthday card for her daddy.
Mary’s daddy is happy with the card.
Mary keeps the tin box on her desk.
Some days, Mary puts new pencils in the tin box.
Some days, Mary loses old pencils out of the tin box.
Mary does not lose Penny the pencil.
Mary is growing.
Mary is in second grade.
Mary uses Penny to write a letter to Santa.
Mary is in third grade.
She uses Penny to write notes to her friend.
Mary is in fourth grade.
She uses Penny to take a math test.
Mary is in fifth grade.
She uses Penny to write a letter to her brother in college.
Mary is in sixth grade.
She uses Penny to write a card to her grand-parents from Disneyland on her family vacation.
Mary is in seventh grade.
She uses Penny to draw pictures in Art class.
Mary is in eighth grade.
She uses Penny to write an English paper.
Mary is in ninth grade.
She uses Penny to write a Pen Pal.
Mary is in tenth grade.
She uses Penny to draw a picture at church for a sad little boy.
Mary is in eleventh grade.
She uses Penny take her drivers test.
Mary is in twelfth grade.
She uses Penny to apply for college.
Mary goes to college.
Mary uses Penny to write a letter to Bobby.
Bobby is Mary’s boy friend.
Mary and Bobby are married.
Mary and Bobby have a baby.
They use Penny to write the baby’s name on a card to the grandparents. Mary and Bobby have many children.
Penny stays in the tin box.
All the other pencils in the box have been lost.
Mary uses Penny to write school notes for her children.
Penny is small now.
Penny has been used many times.
Mary’s children are married.
Mary’s children have children.
Mary uses Penny to write letters to her children and grand children.
One day the old tin box is opened.
Penny can not see Mary.
Mary’s daughter is crying.
Mary’s grand children look at Penny the pencil.
Penny is so small she can not be used anymore to write or draw.
They think that Penny the pencil should be thrown away.
Mary’s daughter holds Penny the pencil in her hand and tells the grand children the stories of grandma Mary and her favorite pencil.
The grand children want to keep Penny.
They put Penny in the old tin box.
They put the tin box on a shelf for all to see.
No stories can be written by Penny.
Now Penny the pencil tells the story of Mary’s life.
Penny the pencil is happy.
Penny the pencil is very happy
